A good premise meets a bad plot, as Kat gains some unnecessary backstory but loses her life. Mike never quite cares about Starbuck and Kat's dappled relationship. Pat wonders whether death means anything to the Cylon. Matt thinks this is BSG's first entirely detachable episode.
