Nach all dem Stress mit SACEM und Co. habe ich endlich mal wieder Zeit und Nerven gefunden, einen neuen Künstler vorzustellen: Tabbaz aus Saint Malo in Frankreich.
Also Gehörlappen aufstellen und schon bringen Tabbaz’ Beats und Sounds den Ohrenschmalz ins Rutschen. Electro mouker ist ein Song, der schön abrockt und dazu noch Sehnsucht nach fernen Ländern weckt.
Ein historischer Electro mouker?
Ich habe Tabbaz gefragt, ob ich seine “Creative Commons-BY-SA” lizensierten Songs hier vorstellen kann:
Tabbaz: “Danke für das Interesse, dass Du meinen Songs entgegenbringst. Klar, kannst Du meine Sounds nutzen, tu mir nur einen Gefallen und lass mich hören, was dabei rausgekommen ist… es interessiert mich immer Feedback aus dem Ausland zu bekommen.”
Klar, und vielleicht kann einE UserIn ja mal einen kleinen Kommentar schreiben, wie ihr/ihm Electro mouker gefällt.
Torsten: “Warum veröffentlichst Du Deine Lieder unter freien Lizenzen? Und warum hast Du für manche Deiner Tracks die “Creative Commons-BY-SA”, für andere die “Licence Art Libre” und für wieder andere die “Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works” gewählt?”
Tabbaz: “Naja, mein Ziel ist es nicht, meine Songs zu schützen. Ich bin ja kein professioneller Musiker. Ich will einfach nur, dass Leute bestimmte Regeln einhalten, wenn Sie meine Songs nutzen. Und: Ja, ich weiß, dass alle möglichen Leute meine Lieder klauen können, aber das ist kein Problem für mich. Es ist Teil des Spiels und wenn es einem unbekannten Künstler hilft, mit meinen Samples groß rauszukommen, wäre ich sehr geehrt.”
Torsten: “Was machst Du außer Musik?”
Tabbaz: “Vor einem Jahr habe ich meinen Job gekündigt. Das war eine Entscheidung, die ich gefällt habe, um mehr Musik produzieren zu können. Ausserdem will ich meine Sampling skills verbessern. Und ich hoffe, dass ich Ende 2008 oder Anfang 2009 ein neues Album herausbringen kann.”

An ancient Electro mouker?
So I asked Tabbaz if I may introduce the songs he published under the “Creative Commons-BY-SA”:
Tabbaz: “No problem for the use of my sounds, but just do me a favor, let me know about the issue results…it is always very intersesting to have a feed back from abroad.”
Torsten: “Why have you licensed your songs under a free license? And why did you chose for some songs the “Creative Commons-BY-SA”, for others the “Licence Art Libre” for the last ones the “Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works””?
Tabbaz: “My aim is not really to protect the songs as I ‘m not a professionnal but just to provide using rules. Of course I know that many people can pirate my sounds, it is not a problem, it is part of the game. If it can help an unknown artist to become famous by using my samples I would be honored.”
Torsten: “Is music your profession or what else are you doing?”
Tabbaz: “I am out of work since one year, a decision I took to produce some music and trying to improve my samples construction. I hope it will lead to an album for the end 2008 or beginning 2009.”
