We share a fondness for Tel-Aviv here at Mantissa. It is the residence of Idit Frenkel, the purveyor of both one of our favourite interviews, and the creator of one of our finest podcasts. Trusting her taste, we asked for pointers towards more of her city's talents.
Luckily enough we were pointed in the direction of Niv Hadas. Hadas is a resident DJ with LATER (Idit and Ofri Goffer) at Breakfast Club in Tel Aviv, a party they have run for over five years.
By day Hadas is the Senior Arts and Culture Editor at Haaretz (the only left-wing newspaper left in Israel). By night Hadas's musical relationships have included DJing alongside Amir Egozy during his early years, producing with Guy Gerber as REshuffle, Red Axes, and now with Tor Goffer.
With this mix Hadas provides the listener with deep sounds, expertly blended as both a perfect travel soundtrack and for an early morning chill out.
