"I like doing studio mixes with a specific idea in mind. It could be a theme, a color, a feeling, a specific club, or space I am envisioning while putting the tracks together. For this mix, I really wanted to play with energy, and bringing it up and down and back again throughout the mix. It's a bit how I try to DJ an opening set, bridging the gap between dancefloor tracks and experimentation, keeping it interesting without using up all the energy in the room. I believe club nights are a team sport and you need to play your position with pride."
