Matthew 5:13-20
Jesus sat on the mountain and taught his newly called disciples. His first and best word two was “blessed.” His Discipleship Freshman Orientation kicked off with a string of beatitudes, affirming those called as those who were blessed again and again and again. “Blessed are you...blessed are you…blessed are you…” His first word, his best word was not just for the first disciples, but for all future disciples, as well.”
