1) A NEW WORK – DEFINITION

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Implication #1 – Your salvation is an act of God, not of yourself
Implication #2 – Your salvation happened at a moment in time, but it isn’t just a moment in time
Implication #3 – Your salvation is a work but it isn’t just a work
2) A New Work – Description
Description #1 – Love will increase
A decision to love each other is a decision to love yourself and what you want, less – so that somebody else gets the reward of your effort*
Description #2 – Knowledge will increase
Description #3 – Depth of insight will increase
3) A New Work – Results
Result #1 – You will know what is best
Result #2 – You will arrive blameless
Result #3 – God will be glorified
