It would appear that elderly people in a Jewish neighbourhood are dying of natural causes and then being eaten by rats before being discovered. Kolchak wants to write a feature series on the plight of the elderly and the failure of the city’s institutions to protect them, but then things don’t seem to add up and Kolchak thinks the victims are dying because they’re being eaten... alive.
And not by rats.
