You’ve probably heard the story of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun. I mean, most people have heard that one. But let’s take a look at what happened from another angle.
What if we looked at this story from a different perspective? If we did, we might see something else entirely.
What if instead of thinking of Icarus as a failure, or someone who didn’t listen to his father, or someone whose wings melted off because he was being reckless… what if we thought of him as a hero?
Never regret thy fall, O Icarus of the fearless flight. For the greatest tragedy of them all is never to feel the burning light. - Oscar Wilde
What would happen if you never even attempted to experience what life offers?
It's easy to get caught up in a cycle of self-doubt and fear of failure. But what if we could change that? Instead of worrying about what might or might not happen, what if we just took a chance and tried something new? What if we put ourselves out there and let our creativity take over? That's what life is all about: taking risks, chasing your dreams, and doing things that scare you.
So go ahead—take flight!
