Jacob settles in Jevron with his 12 sons. His favorite is 17-
year-old, Joseph. Joseph’s brothers are jealous of the
preferential treatment he receives, such as the
multicolored sack Jacob gave him. Joseph tells his brothers
about two dreams he has, which prophecy to rule over
them, increasing envy and hatred towards him.
The 5 Levels of the Soul are: (Yechida), (Chayá), Neshamá,
(Ruach) and Nefesh (the latter is the biological part, the
pure egoistic desire). The human being (from 0 to 12 years
for women and 13 years for men) lives exclusively at this
level of Nefesh.
Unfortunately, a big part of the population is born, lives,
and dies at the Nefesh level.
