Bless you, reality
If you're unable to be thankful for what you've got, you'll never have what you want. You can't just marry your dreams and divorce your reality. Don't forget that Hashem sees your soul, He is omniscient and sees your essence. Rab Shaul always said, "I have learned to be content, whatever my situation. I know how to live humbly and I know how to live in abundance. I've learned to be satisfied and to be hungry for more. I can do all things in Mashiach who strengthens me." But most people take the last line. Or they think they're empowered. When he said I do in Mashiach, it wasn't about decrees or declarations to have a mansion, to be a millionaire, or to have the woman of your dreams. It's not magic or some empowerment.
Rab Shaul stated, based on the words of Yaakov, that he could overcome all challenges, both the bad and the good, as well as poverty and wealth. I am learning and patiently waiting for the process; I am finding peace and remaining strong.
