The project formerly known as 1800-273-TALK is back as 988. Jon Lane, Cale Alysworth, and Josh Goodstein of OHSO Brewery are asking breweries to rename or brew a beer to raise awareness about the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
It's a number for everyone to know and learn about the resources available to prevent tragedy.
We can all help prevent suicide. Talk to someone now.
We were also joined by Beth Brady, the Vice President, Brand and Development of Solari, the non-profit lifeline provider for Arizona. She provided valuable information on suicide and crisis intervention.
We should all get comfortable discussing these issues for all of us to get better at supporting each other. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
The breweries participating in this awareness campaign are trying to highlight the fact that there is someone to talk to. 988 is for people in crisis, and also for people looking for resources to assist others. Breweries and fans can get more info here.

We need more brewery participation... any time and at all levels. Free resources and discounts are available to support this cause by any business, not just breweries.
You can also support the crisis hotline by texting Brew4Hope to 44321
