I know what you're thinking... No whey, but YES WHEY.
Andrew and Rob sample a 4.5% ABV seltzer made from whey, the byproduct of cheesemaking. The product is not from Arizona, but we all know that dairy figures prominently in our states agricultural profile. We delve into how it's made, and how it might be an opportunity for brewers and dairymen.
Here's the thing. It's not made under a TTB license because it's not classified as beer, wine or spirits. Our state laws probably don't cover this product either! We chatted breifly and unofficially with the Guild's attorney, Camila Alarcon, but we're not quite ready to share that full discussion. We'll have to have her on in a future show soon.
