Hey y'all! Welcome to season 2 of The Keepsake Box, aptly titled "Too Far Ahead". In season 1, "Only The Beginning", Shelonda starts to recount the details of her life to understand how she has gotten into an abusive marriage. Season 1 followed Shelonda through a physically, emotionally, and sexually abusive situation with her step father and much of the same with her first boyfriend,--KEN. At the conclusion of season 1, it seemed that things were finally looking up. But old habits die hard, and Shelonda was still cramming things into her emotional keepsake box.
Season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off. Shelonda is an 18 year old girl, struggling to care for herself after KEN's incarceration and the demolition of every familial relationship that she has ever known. She really is in the world alone. She starts to formulate relationships that take her from a shy and abused child to a confident woman. But in doing that, however, Shelonda realizes that getting too far ahead can get her left behind. And the results are....devastating.
