This week's episode is our first 2nd generation taiko player guest, and we're talking real 2nd gen since her Mom and Dad both played taiko! It's none other than Los Angeles CA own, Nakama Daiko's leader Tomomi Hongo.
Learn about Tomomi's rich history of training with many different taiko teachers and how she's been able to develop her own style of teaching as she passes on Taiko to youth of all ages from pre-pre school to high school aged youth.
Tomomi also gives interesting insite into many other topics like being a 2nd Generation player, teaching a workshop at NATC 2019 and approaching taiko for folks that are of smaller physical stature.
