After agreeing to do the episode over a year ago we finally got our schedules to line up to bring this episode to the masses! Our guest Adam Toda, currently playing in Japan with Nihon Taiko Dojo but he is no stranger to North American Taiko since he is an alumni of San Fernando Mugen Taiko, Stanford Taiko and the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble.
In part 1 we discuss Adam's taiko journey which started at a very young age. We listen to his transition from a youth player to playing in a collegiate group and then taking the steps the thought were necessary to attempt to "go pro".
This was both a fun and informative episode for me since our history goes WAY back to when we first met at the 1997 NATC.
