Is it acceptable to shoot or harm someone based on your fear or misperception of that person because of their race? I hope the answer is no. Unfortunately Doug Lewis and Ahmaud Aubrey were both judged in that manner, and in result lost their life. Fear and stereotyping should never determine, or be controlling factors in how we treat people, especially if your fear is self-inflicted. Understanding and respect is a huge and unfortunately rare commodity that we need between races and people in general. To be black in this country is to be harshly judged at times, which leads to these type of situations. before you act or choose to label, take time and think, ask the question, if a black person or other minority feared you like you say you fear them, would it be ok for them to take actions such as shooting you dead?
