The holiday season continues apace. To mark Boxing Day, the onset of Kwanzaa, the first day of Xmas gift returns, a belated Festivus,

themes appearing in the songs -- and to mark the fact that I'm visiting
in Minnesota (which is disturbingly devoid of snow at the moment). I've
