Nigel played a total 160 VFL matches with the Casey Scorpions and the Collingwood VFL teams from 2000-2008. Nigel has been a broadcast host and commentator for AFL, AFLW and VFL football with Channel Seven from 2015-present. He was a player manager with TLA Worldwide from 2004-2021. Nigel was also a commentator on ABC Sport’s AFL and AFLW coverage from 2016-2018. Nigel has also worked at 1116 SEN as a host and commentator for their AFL coverage and other various programs.
