Description

On this Month's Episode of the Sociologist's Dojo Dr. Brittany Friedman Assistant Professor of Sociology at USC and the author of the forthcoming book: Carceral Apartheid: How Lies and White Supremacists Run Our Prisons discuss the 2023 Biopic Rustin. After a brief discussion of their upcoming work, Dr. Friedman and your Host dive into Rustin as an organizing film and whether or not we consider it a Biopic. We then look at the film through a historical lens before sociologically analyzing its overall themes.

Apologies for a lack of detailed Production notes and Time codes on this episode. Time of production caused them to be ommitted. They will return on Future episodes
