There are few people in the history of LSU athletics with a better resume than Bennie Brazell. The accolades are almost too many to list. But in short, as an athlete, Brazell won national championships with LSU football (2003) and Track & Field (2002 and 2004), before becoming an Olympian in 2004. For the past ten years he's been an assistant coach for LSU Track & Field under head coach Dennis Shaver and just recently experienced a new high, as the Tiger men won the school's first Outdoor National Championship since 2002. As track star himself Brazell was a 5-time NCAA Champion, a 14-time NCAA All-American and the school's record holder in the 400 meter hurdles and 4 x 400 relay. As a wide receiver he was also a 7th round draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006.
