In this week's reading, Jesus draws a connection  between seeing him as the one who is revealing the Father, and seeing him as the bread of life. And most important of all, He connects eating the bread  seeing him and receiving eternal life. You cannot receive eternal life unless you see correctly. Seeing correctly, and eternal life are related.
