Our guest today is Shamiah Woods Kerney, Deputy City Administrator for the City of Baltimore Shamiah is a distinguished public servant whose career exemplifies leadership at the intersection of governance, equity, and accountability. Most recent role, Chief Recovery Officer, Mayor’s Office of Recovery Programs, Baltimore City;  prior to that she served, as Deputy Director of Performance Management in the Executive Office of the Mayor for Washington, D.C., Shamiah evaluated critical service delivery to District residents and businesses while championing equity in budgeting decisions. Her impressive government service includes her role as a senior analyst at the United States Government Accountability Office, where she conducted rigorous program audits and evaluations for Congress on vital federal initiatives spanning housing, disaster assistance, insurance, small business support, and financial systems oversight. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shamiah remains deeply committed to community service, holding leadership positions in multiple organizations. A product of Clark Atlanta University, Shamiah holds both a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's in public administration with a concentration in community and economic development.
