Autumn brings us shorter days and longer shadows, which gets us to the Halloween season. We are captivated by this holiday and how it effects our psyche. As night gets longer, we wonder about the unseen reality. Even before the official beginnings of Halloween there was all souls or all saints day. This time of the approaching darkness of winter is where we start wondering about death because before Christmas this time was truly a dark and depressing time.
