“We are intended to be on this world to thrive not to exist”

“I always had this notion that life was supposed to be more than sitting behind a desk, or being in the rat race, or being in the matrix”

Maurice has always had multiple career paths he pursued concurrently. He worked as a consultant at Accenture and was a federal agent in the military. He retired from the military in 2019 and plans to retire from his consultant career this October so he can devote his full focus to international real estate investing and development.

Maurice always knew that life has more to offer than sitting in the office from 9-5. His philosophy is to work to live and not live to work.

He’s traveled to 96 countries so far, seen many different cultures, and made many connections. Maurice has 5 freedom principles that he lives by. There are:

  1. Financial freedom: to have enough passive investments and not having to work.
  2. Time freedom: to have enough time for his loved ones and community.
  3. Geographic freedom: to be able to live anywhere in the world.
  4. Freedom of purpose: to have an impact on other people and help his community.
  5. Freedom of relationships: to be able to connect with people and not be in toxic relationships.

“Your purpose is to find your purpose. Your purpose is not to do what everybody else is doing and follow the traditional path.”

Maurice’s goal has never been to have a lot of money or to have the most significant title. His goals are to have maximum exposure to experiences - to build memories, meaningful businesses, and have an impact on other people’s lives.

For people who feel like their job is not for them and want to change, Maurice’s advice is to purposefully use their careers and active income to design the life that they really want. His purpose is to be in love, to be loved by a community, and to learn constantly.

Maurice automates as many tasks as possible in his businesses and doesn’t have a physical office or employees. This way, he can work from anywhere in the world.

The Final 3 Questions

That he’s not alone and not unique. He thinks in his own unique way, but he has people around him to support him.

Community and Legacy. Maurice’s parents immigrated from Haiti and tried their hardest to give Maurice a good education. So for Maurice, legacy means giving your kids, your family, your friends, or your community more than what you have in a form of education.

That it's possible. The thing that you have always thought is impossible, is possible....
