HAPPY BIRTHDAY Masquerade of Motherhood!
I love birthdays, I especially LOVE cake. When my kids were younger I wanted elaborate cakes and back then no one made 3D cakes.. so fun fact about me, I figured it out and did it myself.
The thing about a birthday cake, it makes a statement, sets the theme for the party. Cakes can also be deceiving, what is beautiful on the outside may not be that great on the inside, or it may be even better than imagined. You don’t know until you dig in.
On this one year birthday of the podcast I am hopeful that what you have heard this first year will only get better as we dig in!. I want to thank a few people who made this possible.
Stacey Thacker @staceythacker, mentor, friend, author and encourager. She is the first person who spoke the words, “you should have a podcast." I am so grateful she believed in me.
Angie Elkins @angiebrownelkins taught me all I needed to know to launch this baby into the world. Answered all my crazy questions, and has always encouraged and believed in the M.O.M. show.
My niece, Alysia @alysiajdavis that listens to every episode in the car rider line. If no one else listens, she does!
To all the listeners and Moms who I have interviewed this year, THANK YOU!
But, what about my story? Where did "masquerade" come from?
That’s a hard one, because it is easier to ask the questions than to answer them. I have prayed about this, asked others their thoughts, and with all clarity, God spoke…
Unmask YOU!
My story is long and complex so this season, I will continue to have interviews, Prayer Tuesdays, and share my new series, “Unmasking ME”
This is coming to you with a lot of prayer, from a raw, honest and extremely vulnerable place. My hope all along is for Moms to find their identity in Christ, not in the successes and failures of our parenting. For Moms to feel welcome and supported, to meet each other in the messy middle and encourage each other through prayer and community.
Here is my story
