We had quite the weekend over here in Houston! The Astros won the World Series, and I would be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge that the Tigers beat Bama! Both games were an incredible display of athleticism and discipline.
This week on the show I visit with a friend who happened to run a half marathon this weekend as well. Another great example of perseverence and committment. But none of these accomplishments would be possible without practice.
On this weeks episode, Amber Cullum and I discuss unmasking control. We visit on topics such as depression, anger, family dynamics and how they set the stage for our future parenting strategies.
How to recognize what is healthy and what we want to bring into our families and where we need to stop generational dysfunction.
Like the athletes I watched this weekend and the training Amber put in for this marathon. We need to start practicing! Practicing apologizing, practicing giving ourselves grace, practicing the spiritual discipline that we long for.
Nothing is accomplished without practice.
