Hagar and Sarah's relationship was one laden with guilt, envy, anger and jealousy. Both women attempted to take matters into their own hands, and both failed.
In the wake of the manipulation Hagar attempted to escape, as if running ever makes things better. This was when El Roi, God who sees came to her to remind her, she was in fact seen and heard by Him. In a dry desert, where she felt desperate, the Angel of the Lord appeared to her.
In today's episode, let's look at how so often on the surface we may look ok, but in reality deep down we are dry and parched by life. Only El Roi, the God who sees us, deep within our souls knows the true water we need to survive.
John 7: 37-39 Jesus once again speaks of living water, saying, “'Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. ' By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.
