November is adoption awareness month. One of my first interviews here on the M.O.M. show was my friend Cathy Crossno. In honor of her story and adoption awareness month, I am replaying our conversation.
Cathy has an incredible story of removing the mask of shame. After finding herself pregnant in College, Cathy knew immediately God was calling her to choose the gift of adoption. We talk through the grief of that choice, how her mother respected and walked with her, where God was in this process and how she feels her obedience has resulted in an unexpected blessed relationship with her daughter Lexi.
Cathy is passionate that birth mom does not equal threat, it’s ok if your family isn’t “cookie cutter” and at the end of the day ALL of our children are on loan to us by God. Grab your tissues, this conversation is a tear jerker.
