Episode 11 shines the spotlight on philanthropy in Palm Beach County. We begin our journey with Holly Schuttler, president of Impact 100 Palm Beach County. This is a group of over 600 women in "south county" who have come together to pool their $1,000 donations to make $100,000 "impactful" grants. Over the past decade, they have distributed over $4.5 million to 30 non-profit organizations. My next two guests represent two of those recipient organizations. The first, Place of Hope, offers love, housing and wrap-around services to children and young adults in the dependency system as well as a program to address human trafficking. Charles Bender has been the guiding light of this organization for over 20 years and he has made these children his mission. Finally, Sharon DiPietro, TriCounty Animal Rescue's Board chair, speaks about the plight of dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned and TriCounty's mission to find them a fur-ever home. All three of these organizations are contributing to making Palm Beach County the place we are proud to call home!
