Jorge Pesquera leads off our conversation explaining how Discover the Palm Beaches is leading the region's destination marketing. Sports is a very important part of our region's attraction. Sports tourism is something George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sport Commission, has worked to grow in his 16 years with the county. Last year the Commission hosted over 175 sports events, generating nearly 250,000 hotel room nights and over $200 million in visitor spending. Palm Beach County is clearly a destination for culture, history, and sports!
