Episode 27 focuses on the ease with which travelers can arrive and depart from Palm Beach County. Our guests today are two women who are keeping our skies accessible for air travelers. Laura Beebe has been the Executive Director of Palm Beach International Airport for the past four years, succeeding to that position after serving under Bruce Pelly who had served in that role for 32 years. Lots going on at PBIA (and the three other county airports under Ms. Beebe's oversight). Our second guest, Clara Bennet is the Executive Director of Boca Raton (Executive) Airport (BCT). This airport is actually owned by the State of Florida with a Board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and the City of Boca Raton. Ms. Bennett has been in her current role for eight years after serving as Deputy Director of Transportation and Mobility with the City of Fort Lauderdale. Air travel is essential for the continued economic vitality of our community and these two ladies explain how they are ensuring these operations are supporting our community!
