Description

Episode 37 takes us back to the cultutal arts in Palm Beach County. One of the most versatile venues for culture in our county is the Kravis Center which first opened in 1992. Raymond F. Kravis was a prominent geologist and philanthropist from Tulsa, OK, who wintered in Palm Beach for more than 35 years. In 1985, a consortium of his friends donated more than $7 million to name the facility for Mr. Kravis. Today, under the leadership of its new CEO, Diane Quinn, the Kravis is offering an array of programs from Kravis on Braodway, to Art Smart (a series of educational classes, workshops and lectures that take art lovers behind the curtain). There is also a vibrant outreach program to area students to develop their appreciation for art in the next generation. Listen to Ms. Quinn speak of her vision for our community.
