Episode 59 returns to a common theme of our podcasts, giving back. In south Palm Beach County we have not one, not two, but five Rotary Clubs. Each subscribes to the idea of providing "service above self." Each has identified a specific role; they have identified as their mission. Be it support of our educational institutions or mentoring and providing scholarships to our most deserving students, our Rotary Club members have focused on making the community a better place.
Our guests this week, representing the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton, discuss how they have embraced the needs of students aspiring to be doctors, nurses and other medical professionals. An important vehicle for raising funds for scholarships is their annual "Honor Your Doctor" luncheon. Not only are our current medical professionals recognized for their dedication to their patients but the event provides funding for our next generation of medical professionals.
