Description

This Special Episode was actually recorded at the March 2022 Greater Boca Raton Members' Breakfast where I was invited to present the State of the County address.

Palm Beach County, like the rest of the world, has come through a worldwide pandemic. However, unlike many areas, our community has come through the last two years stronger than we were before enduring the pandemic's hardships. Our economy is strong, our real estate market is red hot. If we have residual issues from the pandemic's challenges its the supply chain issues which, presumably will right themselves over the coming months, the fact that there are more job openings than unemployed residents and finally, with the influx of new residents (coming down from the northeast) our real estate has become unaffordable for many of our longtime residents.

Workforce-affordable housing is the next critical issue with which the Board of County Commissioners will need to grapple. I hope you find this Special Episode helpful in understanding how the county is poised to move forward. If you live in Palm Beach County, Florida, I hope you will spend a few minutes to hear this comprehensive look at our community!
