Roe vs. Wade secured federal abortion rights in the United States in 1973 (or so we thought) but just what happened when a person wanted or needed an abortion before this landmark ruling?  Sara brings us a history of abortion rights and a glimpse into the tragic deaths caused by so-called "back alley" abortions prior to state and federal legalization of abortion services in Washington state.
