On Halloween night, 1984, police in San Jose, California responded to a scene one would later describe as a "Halloween horror show" in the front hallway of Charles and Doreen Erbert's suburban home. In the corner of the crime scene, near the door, lay a rubber mask in the shape of a cartoon wolf's head. This is a story of tragedy that lead to vengeful murder on Halloween night.
