Jasper James is a community advocate that was named one of this years "Top 25 Black Change Makers" by the Sacramento Bee. Jasper is a former Billboard Recording Artist, a diversity equity and inclusion specialist, speaker, alternative health practitioner, inventor, and author.
In this episode, Jasper shares about their own journey of leaving the Christian faith after coming out as queer and how they never stopped desiring a faith-based community. They started Social Justice as a Spiritual Practice (SJSP) to help fill that void and to speak in activist spaces about self-care, compassion, empathy and connection.
Listen in for more information about Jasper's creation of the Black Bill of Rights, and SJSP, and how these new tools can help create safety in communities of color.
