Structured literacy is a proven, research-based approach to teaching reading and writing. Its instruction is based on the latest scientific understanding of how children learn to read and write. And it’s no secret that I’m a fan of structured literacy. Hint: there’s a good reason why!
In this episode, we'll take a look at what structured literacy is and how it can help your child or student become successful readers. And while I will never claim to be an expert myself, I’ll also share with you how I got hooked on the Science of Reading and what piqued my curiosity about structured literacy.
