In this episode Emma talks about pushing herself to the limit of emotional burnout by constantly putting others before herself and the moment she realised it all had to change. She had to Reboot and introduce balance into her life!
"The real Unheard part was my mind was trying to tell me and actually I wasn't hearing it. I was numb to my own needs.
So that kind of emotional wellbeing, as much as people think wellbeing is a thing that, you know, we can affect and change and we can, and we can influence our wellbeing by doing lots of different things like being active, keep learning, you know, all sorts of different ways, mindfulness practice, et cetera, connecting with others. Those things we can do. But actually, if you don't deal with the emotional side of it and actually deal with your feelings, then it can lead on to, well, basically, burnout and feelings of numbness, anxiety and depression. That really, for me, was quite a huge shock because it just wasn't something that I'd really ever experienced before."
