Growing up, friendships just happened. We didn't put much thought or effort into them because they just were. As an adult and as a mother, life can feel very different. Just the thought of navigating a new friendship can feel heavy and exhausting, but research shows having social connections is full of benefits for women.
Emily Siegel is my guest today. She's a mom, friendship mentor and coach, and podcast host. As the leader of The Connected Mom Life Community, she helps busy moms create the circle of friends they crave. Because Emily firmly believes we weren't made to mom alone, she's on a mission to see that we stop trying.
Life is easier and more fulfilling when we live the phrase "it takes a village." Being intentional and consistent are two parts of this. Emily shares the five different types of friends every mom can have, and so much more.
We are a few days away from Mother's Day! Emily and I would love to know what you connected with from today's episode with your friendships and how they are filling you up. Share today's episode on Instagram with one take away and be sure to tag us - @theconnectedmomlife and @whitneywoman!
