This week's episode was recorded on St. Valentine's Day. Listen as Michael Blue and his live audience dive into the journey of the Father of Faith from Abram to Abraham. Hear as they explore the idea that Abraham's life is a study in the ongoing theme of "Being, Be-coming, and Doing." Paul states that this kind of transformation occurs by the renewing of the mind. God sets up a literal journey, a series of encounters, experiences, and movements, by means of which Abram is transformed. The Bible gives us the privilege to sojourn with Abraham through this odyssey of his be-coming, beginning at the end of Genesis Chapter 11 through Chapter 25.
God did this because he had a unique plan for Abram's life with all its particularities. Abraham is a model for all humans: "… in thee shall ALL the families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 11:3 This causes us to confront the truth that irrespective of ethnic origin, color, or creed God has a plan for every individual to "be-come" something greater, for the glory of God and for the good of others. And if each of us will obey Him, if we will follow Him on the transformational journey He has tailor-made for our lives, He is going to make something uniquely great of us in every realm of being – be-coming - doing, including the professional!
