Leading means letting others find the "how."

And at first, it may make you feel out of control.

But it's so much better.

It often leads to a better result because you let your team members shine in their areas of genius.

Here is the result matrix I use with my team members:

      • Get Clear on these 3 things as a leader:
        1. What is the result you want? List the specific result you want
        2. What is the solution you propose?  Focus forward on what needs to change or improve. Be specific and include the why.
        3. What is the completion date or time frame? Request a date that the result is in place

Then set up some time with your team member to complete the following (send the above to them in advance so they can think about it.)

        • Let your team member complete this plan and review it with you:
          1. What needs to get done?
          2. Why it needs to get done
          3. When it needs to be complete (date)
          4. Updates required (dates/milestones)
          5. Any additional notes or directions
