You know when you get an NFT, and it gives you access to a special Discord channel? Or you buy an NFT that doubles as an outfit or tool within a game. These are utilities. And the possibilities of what these can be and how they can be applied are endless.
The most well know utility is the royalties that can be programmed into the smart contract to give artists ongoing kickbacks as their artworks are sold. Lesser known by many are the utilities that apply to collectors of certain NFTs. Those utilities are numerous, and new applications are popping up every day.
To help unpack what NFT utilities are and share some examples of utilities in action, Sébastian speaks about Streetlab's own NFT utilities and the wonderful crazy applications he sees elsewhere in the ecosystem.
