Malaysia's childhood was filled with trauma, stemming from her mother's challenges with mental illness and addiction. Despite these challenges, Malaysia helped to raise her siblings before moving in with her grandmother. Her early experiences led her to pursue a career in a helping profession, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
As a licensed psychotherapist and board-certified by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work, Malaysia has helped countless individuals overcome their own challenges and live fulfilling lives.
If you're a veteran looking for inspiration and guidance on your own journey, tune in to hear Malaysia's story and learn from her experiences. Join us as we explore the life of Malaysia Harrell on Helping The Brave, only on our podcast hosted by veterans Ed Parcaut and Amy Tietmeyer.
