Description

One of the hardest hit populations during the global pandemic was our senior population who experienced isolation from the community around them out of fear of transmission, reduced activities in senior centers and active adult communities leaving a void in the social culture that many relied on, and for many - a lack of computer knowledge or access which created a lifeline during the loneliest times for those who were able to leverage its availability. Sheryl Keeme is the Executive Director of Neighbors Who Care, a nonprofit organization that delivers services and meals to homebound, vulnerable seniors in the Sun Lakes, Arizona community as well as delivery resources that serve the aging community. Sheryl has a long history of serving in the nonprofit sector both as an employee and a volunteer and shares her journey with the organization and as a writer and editor helping others tell their story. An advocate of grassroots change. Sheryl believes in the power of community engagement and giving people an opportunity to give back. Listen as Sheryl gives her best tips for making an impact on your community!
