Public service requires heart, soul, grit and your family to be on board with being in the spotlight…for every decision that you make. Councilmember Yung Koprowski is no stranger to paving a path for herself, her family, her business and her community as the founder and Principal of Y2K Engineering. As a civil engineer, Koprowski has built her own firm based on the belief that we can do life differently, that we can be parents and hard workers, that we can challenge the status quo and deliver a level of service that is above what our industry typically delivers, and that we can do all of that by keeping our family at the center of what we do. Listen in as Koprowski reflects on her conversation with her father about what options lay ahead of her, how a global pandemic catapulted her success and influenced her choice to continue down a public service path, and her belief on how we raise conscious children who understand the importance of being a servant leader. Koprowski shares her thoughts on the role community has played in her past, how it guides her today and what’s still ahead for her in the future.
