Description

Have you ever had something really amazing or really crappy happen to you and no one to tell? That’s exactly how our guest, entrepreneur and community builder Kayla Izard kicked off the movement she is building with her husband, Andy. Founder and CEO of of The Raft Project, Kayla is on a mission to make genuine support normal and expected. A self proclaimed best friend, Kayla is creating a safe place where peers can connect deeply, be there for each other and be real. As she says, “fake it till you make it, is so last year”. Today we have the chance to explore how her homeschool background set her up for a career in communications, brand strategy, and nonprofit development and how her passion for people, animals and our planet show up in her work. Listen in as this working momma of a thriving little two year old takes us through her thoughts on social capital and breakdown and how the intersection of our work and our passion requires vulnerability and emotional support.
