We can be great alone and not be relevant with others. We are not connecting and what we say is not engaging. No one is coming to the party. What is important as a communicator is to be flexible by using the right language and approach to reach other's wants. We can be influential only when we are prepared to adjust what we are saying and provide a value proposition that is solving a problem people know they have. If we don't do this we might be great but we are great alone and no one is able to benefit or even see what we have. Communication is about ones and creating value in others.
