Description

Charlie welcomes Ric Rush to the podcast, a name we've heard dozens of times during this season. Ric is a Senior General Manager at the River now, and in this episode, you'll learn exactly how he got there. His career in the home furnishings industry prior to joining the River started at a waterbed store in Las Vegas, then his career path since he joined the River over ten years ago, starting as an HFA, including his promotion trajectory, and what he has accomplished on the way.

Several years ago, Ric became known as the “Bill Walsh” of Broad River General Managers as he has helped so many others achieve their goals and succeed here.  In the episode, you’ll hear how important coaching and culture are to him as well as putting others first while caring for others and leading with purpose.

Charlie and Ric go on a walk down memory lane and talk about events that have unfolded at the River over the years. We learn Ric's perspective on the Orange Crush Tours, the Ashley Domination / Tony Robbins event, the Annual Leadership Summit, and all of the other amazing events we've discussed on this podcast.

Ric talks about what the Company’s community involvement means to him personally and how these projects contribute to the community and his team at the River.
