Description

Charlie welcomes a special guest, Johan Koornhof, to the podcast this week. Johan is a corporate relations specialist, public speaker, and author from South Africa.

Johan visited Broad River Retail to speak at the Fort Mill and Four Oaks corporate campuses as a part of BRR's Thrive in Purpose Series.

Johan begins with his career journey, which led him from South Africa to Scotland, and how he managed to create success only to see it all come crashing down. He also explains how he rebuilt his life after nearly dying in a serious mountain biking accident.

You'll discover the biking accident is not the only obstacle Johan has battled through during his life. Johan says his doctor told him he is a "medical miracle" after a battle with COVID-19 hospitalized Johan for 11 weeks and caused him to contract fibrotic lung disease.

Listen to hear how these difficult struggles shaped Johan's life philosophies, taught him that relationships are the foundation of all aspects of our lives, and showed him how to live life without regrets.
